Tamra
Gingold recieved her Masters' degree in violin
performance from the University of Illinois and has performed
with such professional orchestras as Sinfonia de Camera,
Champaign-Urbana Symphony, University of Illinois Symphony,
Danville Symphony Orchestra, Springfield Symphony, and the
Millikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra. At the U of I, Tamra
has performed in the Balkan Ensemble and the New Music Ensemble.
In addition, she has performed in musicals at the Virginia
Theatre and Station Theatre. As a college student, she
recieved the honor of playing on stage with Ray Charles in the
Orchestra for the Moody Blues. Tamra is the proud mother of three boys
and is currently in her 8th year as the high school and 5th
grade orchestra director for Urbana Public School District #116.
She says her goal in life is to "inspire and teach students from
all backgrounds to learn and appreciate music."
